Membership of the James Braid Society

The James Braid Society is open to anyone involved in the ethical use of hypnosis, whether they are students, therapists or clinicians.

The annual subscription is £50 – there is no longer any attendance fees for members. Guests and visitors are asked to pay £7 towards the cost of the evening.

Subscriptions run from July to the following June. New members who join around January pay half annual fee.

Membership however is not open to anyone who uses hypnosis for the purpose of entertainment; ie stage hypnotists

We are always pleased to welcome guests – whether from within the United Kingdom or overseas – who happen to be in London on a visit and who would like to attend one of our meetings.

Among the club's main aims is the wish to "promote friendship and co-operation" among its members and indeed many strong friendships have been forged since the club was started.

We keep the atmosphere as informal as possible for this is both a professional and a social occasion for our members.
