Soul Retrieval and Cord Cutting
– Imagery work originating in ancient shamanic practices
A talk by Fiaz Ayub
The subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between reality and imagination. The body experiences imagination as if it was real.

Sometimes shock, trauma, bereavement or relationship breakdowns can cause a part of us to fragment.

Many people know instinctively that they have something missing.

Soul Retrieval is imagery work to make the person more whole and more present. It is the recovery of parts of the person that are lost somewhere.

Every thing that we have a relationship with, be it friends, partners, addictions or materials can be said to be linked energetically.

We can have positive links to healthy experiences or we can have negative links to, for example drugs.

We want to keep the positive links or cords and remove the negative ones.

Cord cutting is a way to remove the negative energetic links using guided imagery

Which was the subject of the talk delivered by Fiaz Ayub at the James Braid Society meeting on Thursday, 16th October2008.

Fiaz first became interested in altered states of awareness when he completed a two year apprenticeship with Isle of Avalon, in contemporary shamanism.

After training to be an Ericksonian Hypno-Psychotherapy with the National School of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, with passion he has continued to increase his knowledge and experience.

He is a member of the Hypnotherapy Association, National Council of Hypnotherapist (NCH) and the National Guild of Hypnotists.
