Stress in the workplace:

Group hypnosis for busy office workers

A talk by Lisa French

According to te Health and Safety Executive more than 11 million working days are lost every year in the United Kingdom due to workplace stress.

The implications for invididuals, employers and the country as a whole are therefore enormous and represent the loss of billions of pounds,

Lisa French
Lisa French

is the "Hypnotherapist for Busy People", and has a particular interest in working to reduce stress and anxiety. She was trained by Dr. Kate Beaven-Marks

But Lisa French – the James Braid Society's Facebook and Twitter editor – believes it doesn't have to be this way.

Far more could and should be done to reduce stress at work ... and hypnotherapy can play a crucial part.

Which is why at the society's July 2018 meeting Lisa described her own experiences of running group hynosis sessions for stressed office workers.

Topics covered included:

  • How hypnosis can help busy and stressed office workers
  • Introducing hypnosis into the workplace - dealing with myths and misconceptions, and HR professionals
  • How to extend your practice to working with groups

The talk will include a summary of feedback from attendees demonstrating the impact and there will be an opportunity to experience a group hypnosis session led by Lisa.
During the group hypnosis session metaphors are used to enhance physical and mental wellbeing, carefully designed to build and boost resilience.

The meeting will takes place at the  at “The Carpenters Arms”, 12 Seymour Place,  W1H 7NE – just off Edgware Road & close to Marble Arch tube station.  Meetings start at 7.15pm
