A Masterclass presented by John Scanlon

Adoption is a significant issue in Ireland, with many news items and reports being done on the Mother and Baby Homes in Ireland, and has led to significant legal changes.

Adoption is seen as a solution to for children whose parent/parents were unable to raise a child.

Yet there are many issues that are unseen and effect the adoptees and their parent/parents.

These were just a few of the issues covered in a very clear but sensitive presentation by John Scanlon, the society's guest speaker in Febuary 2024

John Scanlon

is a hypnotherapists based in Co.Wexford, Ireland and is the creator and organiser of the Irish Hypnotherapy Conference.
He is a certified trainer with the UK Hypnosis Academy and a hypnosis event organiser.
He specialises in anxiety related issues. Having himself been adopted John takes a deep interest in the whole issue adoption and its effects –having lived with these himself.
Among his core beliefs is the importance opf community along with the power of hypnosis to create change.
Being a therapist can be a lonely place and because there was no platform for Irish hypnotherapists to meet, learn, engage and discuss, last year he created the Irish Hypnotherapy Conference which seeks to bring the best speakers to Ireland and share their knowledge with the Irish Hypnotherapy Community.development.
