From speedy sexual seductions to teaching how the power of words can persuade and heal is an understandable progression … but still probably an unusual path for most therapists.

That however is the course followed by NLP Master Trainer Paul Ross presented an online master class to the James Braid Societyon Thursday 21st April 2022.

San Diego-based Paul has beeb described by Wikipedia as “an American author and pick-up artist” explaining how, in the late 1980s, he began studying seduction as way to self improve.

This was followed by him then presenting workshops to promote a collection of Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques called "speed seduction".

In1992 he published his first book "How to Get the Women You Desire into Bed" followed by appearances on numberous TV shows including  Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends.

Though he still maintains the website seduction.com – which promises to teach men how to master their seduction skills, quick easy, – over the past 30 years or so Paul has moved on to teach thousands of people the power of language to persuade, to sell and to heal.

In his training he sets out his view that NLP is a way of discovering how language structures our consciousness and shapes our decisions.

Much of his focus is on sales as shown by one of his books “Subtle Words That Sell” but Paul’s speeches and trainings have also motivated people around the world to discover their power to design their own results.

Which is why his experience and expertise can be of real benefit to those of us in the talking therapies, providing an opportunity to be more effective as therapists - simply by the act of allowing us to reassess our verbal approaches.
